In 2003, the Palatinate Forest Association (PWV) designated a grove here on the occasion of its 100th birthday. “Around 150 local groups each planted an oak tree there, which was marked with an individual plaque. In addition, several bronze plaques with the names of the donors were placed on large sandstones.
These tablets were broken out of the stones using brute force and stolen at the end of 2021.”ADDENDUM: In the summer of 2022, the main board of the PWV “had a new engraved memorial stone erected. This was ‘inaugurated’ by Martin Brandl, Bernd Wallner and forestry department manager Michael Grünfelder as the 307th knight’s stone of the Palatinate Forest Association.”

Status 2003: The PWV-Hain is a place in the forest near the Hermersbergerhof. There are two benches and small trees with memorial stones. The names of the local groups of the Palatinate Forest Association (PWV) were engraved on metal plates. These plaques were installed at the PWV-Hain for the 100th anniversary of the PWV association.
Now there has been a change in the grove: since October 1st, 2022 there has been a new 307th knight's stone, which is maintained by the PWV like all other 306 PWV knight's stones. Previously, the names of the local groups were worked into metal plaques and attached to large colored sandstone. In the summer of 2022 the metal plaques were forcibly removed from the stones and stolen, but there is one small consolation!!! Now there is a beautiful new knight's stone at this point, which bears the consecutive numbering 307. The stone has been worked and the 100th anniversary engraved into the stone. The mason did a perfect job.
