The Heinrichsblick at the nature reserve Rodderberg.

This cozy viewpoint invites with two benches in every season to linger. The great panoramic view offers a view of the Siebengebirge, Königswinter, Mehlem, Bad Godesberg, Bonn and in clear weather Siegburg, the promontory with Wesseling, Bornheim, etc. to Cologne where you can even make out the cathedral and the TV tower.

On Sundays and public holidays there is something more going on, but normally you can rest here in peace and quiet.

A magnificent view of the Rhine with two benches and flanked by three linden trees. The Heinrichsblick, as one reads on the metal plate, was formerly the place of execution of the village of Mehlem. The legend combines a cruel story with this beautiful place today. Several centuries ago, a young man was said to have been innocently hanged here. According to the legend, he was called Heinrich and wanted to marry. The dismissed suitors of his fiancée Kunigundes but slipped him a murder in the shoes, he has never committed. They were able to achieve that he had to die without defense on the place of execution on Rodderberg.
