In the heart of the Dolomites, at the foot of the Latemar, lies one of the most enchanting mountain lakes in Alto Adige at an altitude of around 1,500 metres: Lake Carezza. Framed by the gray backdrop of the peaks and the green of the surrounding fir trees, its crystalline waters reflect iridescent hues, ranging from a deep blue to various shades of emerald green. However, being a protected nature reserve, bathing and swimming activities are strictly prohibited.

Lake Carezza is a must, but it is interesting to see how the VAIA storm has unfortunately changed its characteristics ... perhaps one of the most affected areas ever. Whole forests razed to the ground. From Lake Carezza, take path number 8 which leads to OBEREGGEN passing by the Bewaller.
