About Roy Mai Bodensee

Wer Tourentipps in meiner Heimatgegend möchte, darf mich sehr gerne kontaktieren !!!Have Fun! Kontakt roy@ultraleicht.com

MTB tour with 12km of single trails. A lot of S1 and some S2 parts / sections. In the end, ridden the Blue Salamander bike park trail. Laura was there as a newcomer and did very well. Great autumn day - despite the hair dryer storm. All hell was going on in the bike park. The lower, large Tannenboden car park was already full before 10 a.m., so we had to park upstairs. More going on in some winter. So: come next time on weekdays for maximum experience ....

Easy MTB tour with Ela, Nici and Mike from Pontresina over the Albula Pass, up the Albula Valley to the "Alten Schyn" and to the car in Scharans (near Thusis). Sunday, September 26th, 2021. Second day of our weekend tour. Start in light early morning fog and cloudy skies. The weather report spoke of rain towards evening ....
The first part takes us on the beautiful Inntal cycle path to La Punt. Because of the only moderate weather, we saved ourselves the ascent via the Albula Trail, which would not have been so easy uphill. So we took the hardly traveled pass road from La Punt.
The sa. 800 meters in altitude up to the Albula Pass were easy. Above we saw the entry into the quite new Albula Trail (dredged around 2018) and regretted not having taken it, very nicely laid out. It has to be ridden downhill another time ....
Rapid descent on the Preda pass road to Bergün. At the top there would have been a good rideable trail. Too bad. Lunch and reloading were planned for Mike and Nici in Bergün, as they only had one battery. But it was only 10:30 am. So coffee. When we set out, it suddenly rained heavily, so we went back in and lunch in Bergün. It was delicious! Direction Tiefencastel almost the whole journey left of the Albula on trails and forest roads. After 10km - I went downhill to OFF, my thumb controller no longer responded. Drained - nothing to be done. Although equipped with a touch screen, the support level on the Nyon 2 (2021) CANNOT be adjusted on the screen (Bosch: you have to improve this). So stamped another 15km to Tiefencastel on OFF. The ascent to the old Schyn with an altitude of 400 meters was denied to me, and in the lower Albula valley no bikes are allowed to drive through the tunnels. So it ends here for me. Ela, Nici and Mike drove on via the "Alte Schyn" and later picked me up by car. Despite bad weather and breakdown, a beautiful and wonderful tour.

P.S .: Breakdown assistance requested as an ADFC member - only applies in DE. Then as an ADAC-Plus member, breakdown assistance requested - only applies to motor vehicles. Two weeks earlier at the Eurobike, an ADAC employee had insured us, we are now also insuring his bike with us, as a Plus member also abroad. He must have misunderstood something: the ADAC is currently running a pilot project in Berlin and Brandenburg that includes bicycles. Comprehensive but not yet ....

Easy MTB tour with Ela, Nici and Mike.
First day of our Bernina-Albula tour on the weekend.
Bright sunshine, great weather and wonderful mountains. Take the train from Thusis up to the Ospizio Bernina. Then the first 4 km down the road (was a lot of S1 ...) we then switched to the Bernina Trail, which leads to Pontresina. Magnificent paths. Made another detour to the Morteratsch Glacier. The steles that show when the glacier reached how far are very impressive. Wellness in the Hotel Alegra (in the attached thermal bath), then dinner in the old Diavolezza cable car in Pontresina. Gorgeous day!

      - One battery is easily enough if you recharge at lunchtime and don't just run turbo.
      - the route is trail-heavy, about 10km single trails
      - there are some downhill road sections.
      - the trails are almost always at S0 / S1 level.
      - when the desire for trails fades, the road can be "unrolled"
