The Geiersberg-Warte (today simply a watch tower, also called a watch tower) is located on the edge of Park Hohenrode and the Wilder Hölzchens. The tower is 7 meters high and has an outside diameter of 3 meters. It is the last landmark of the former external security (watchtowers) of the city of Nordhausen. It is very beautiful here

The waiting tower / the waiting tower is the only one still existing of the original six such towers in Nordhausen. It was built around 1350 in connection with construction work on the city wall. The tower was renovated by the city of Nordhausen in 1990.
