Just a pity that it is right on the road.

A chartake or charter (Persian: "four tree trunks") means a watchtower and an important part of the defense system in the Ottoman era.
Man has a nice view from there.

Replica of a watchtower of the Eppinger Linien. The Eppinger Linien was a fortified line of defense that extended from Weißenstein near Pforzheim via Mühlacker, Sternenfels, Eppingen to Neckargemünd. It had a total length of 86 km. The Eppinger lines were built in the years 1695 to 1697 under the margrave Ludwig Wilhelm von Baden, also known as "Türkenlouis", to prevent French raids in the Palatinate War of Succession (1688-1697).

History of the Eppinger Linienweg explained a little vividly. Nice lookout tower.

Replica of a Roman watchtower. You can climb it and overlook a small part of the Kraichgau.

The second replica charter on the Eppinger Linienweg. From the top there is a beautiful view of the hilly surroundings.

A bit overgrown in summer, but still worth a visit all year round.
