An unusual work of art right on the side of the road that is intended to make you think.
August 18, 2024
Art object by Hinrich Zürn and Thomas Stopp-Ultes:
Different table shapes - noble or coarse, stylish or raw - often symbolize the living conditions of a person. The rusting iron table symbolizes the contrast between rich and poor. The sculpture shows a table with uneven sides. The short, rich one is precisely cut, decorated with baroque ornaments. The long, poor side looks rough, the table top has been roughly slit so that it consists of individual planks and seems to stand on shaky legs (naturpark-stromberg-heuchelberg.de/userfiles/fileadmin-sh Flyer_NP-Stromberg_E-L-WegKarte_170503.pdf)
