studied Protestant theology at the universities of Strasbourg, Berlin, and Heidelberg. After serving in the First World War, Biundo entered the service of the Palatinate Church as a city vicar in Kaiserslautern. In 1932, he took over the Protestant parish in Annweiler. After receiving his doctorate in theology from Heidelberg University, he returned to his home parish of Roxheim as a pastor in 1946. His leave of absence from 1954 allowed him to devote himself undisturbed to his academic work.
