For a long time I could not have imagined that this rock was once a castle. You just have to go and see the whole of the beamholes and parts of living spaces cut out of the rock. Yes there was a castle and I would like to know how it all looked. But one thing is spectacular, the view of the castle Trifels. That's why it's worth the climb.

From here you have one of the most beautiful views of the Trifels opposite. You can also sometimes find beginner climbers here who want to climb a short, enjoyable wall or climb around the rock. As part of the Trifels group, the castle probably served to protect the Trifels, but was abandoned in the 13th century.
