The few remains of the public and central drinking water supply of the city of Burscheid, built in 1905/1906. The wing walls and the remains of the technical facilities are listed buildings. Everything else was dismantled in 2008 to reintroduce migratory fish.

On the eastern outskirts of Burscheid and 1.2 kilometers southwest of the Markus mill in the Eifgenbach valley are the relics of the former water treatment of the city of Burscheid.

A very nice place to pause. When you come back on the way, a board explains the fish ladder, which has not been in use for a long time

Bringing history and nature into harmony is what you learn here at the information board. The dams used to be used to generate energy in the valley; Today the focus is again on nature but without forgetting the history of the valley. Simply worth seeing

Relics of bygone times remind us of the intensive use of energy. For the uninterested hiker just a little concrete and steel, but here at the beginning of the 20th century the water for the city of Burscheid was extracted. In 2008 the stream for fish was made open again by tearing down part of the weir.
