I really liked the Sahrbachtal recently. That's why I created a kind of connecting hike south. The high proportion of paths was pleasant, with few of the rather boring farm roads.

The starting point was in Kreuzberg, which still shows many wounds and scars from the flood.

      I highly recommend the panoramic

    1. I actually wanted to take a taxi to visit the capital of the Seychelles, Victoria. Since the day started a little cloudier and cooler than usual, I decided to walk the approximately 8 km. It was very worth it.

That's how I discovered the government district, which doesn't appear much in the travel guides

    1. I was last in the Effelsberg area in October 2020 and found a flyer with hiking suggestions from the Friends of the Sahrbachtal e.V. (freundeskreis-sahrbachtal.de) and took it with me. Since then I had this hiking area in the planning.

When I read how much the July flood 2021 raged there, the planned

    1. Even this long drive was so worth it! I had often heard of the Lampertstal south of Blankenheim, now I was there, and certainly not for the last time. Ripsdorf is a good starting point. I discovered a village shop there, which I was so taken with that I shortened my hike in order to be able to shop there

    1. I am still reluctant to hike in the areas affected by the July 2021 flood. On July 2, 2021 I hiked the Eifel trail "Quelle der Erft" from Frohngau when all was right with the world. I really appreciate the hiking area between the A1 and Bad Münstereifel. I was itching to see what the Erftquelle looks

    1. Back to the Eifel for a long time; yesterday made a 12 km round with the route planner. Maybe a little huddling...

I parked at the cemetery, there are usually suitable parking spaces at cemeteries. It is sometimes difficult to find something suitable in these small towns with narrow residential streets

    1. On the last day of hiking I went to Femés again. I wasn't quite satisfied with hike 40 in the Kompass hiking book and looked for a longer variant: From the summit of the Loma del Pozo further over the ridge towards the coast, down into the Barranco de la Casita and as a climb and way back a mountain

    1. With us St. Nicholas Day, December 6th is Constitution Day in Spain and therefore a public holiday. In the morning I looked at the mountains with concern: only morning mist or rain? In any case, it stayed dry, albeit mostly overcast. The basis for the planning this time was hike 48 in the Kompass hiking

    1. This hike corresponds to No. 44 in the Kompass hiking guide. I was suspicious because the import to Komoot showed longer off-grid sections. I was particularly worried about the descent. Completely unnecessary. It was a wide gravel road between Femés and the radio masts. Was easy to walk on (I would avoid

    1. Today I felt like connecting two end stops with each other: The S-Bahn in Bergisch Gladbach and the tram line 1 in Bensberg.

Although I had to realize that - although I have lived in Cologne for more than 40 years - I have never been to Bergisch Gladbach; in Bensberg it is, more often than not, also because
