Parked on Nordrather Straße, in a small parking lot of a former restaurant. The first few hundred meters were very narrow paths through the forest to avoid the road. The short part of the Neanderlandsteig is particularly beautiful and leads almost exclusively over hiking trails and natural paths.Because there are only a few beautiful hiking trails in this area due to field agriculture, the tour went there and back on the same route, but that doesn't detract from it.Three organic farms are on the way.The Biohof zur Hellen is very nice, with really nice people, a great place for a break and refreshment with delicious coffee, cake and other delicacies.Clear recommendation!

A very nice hike with a few obstacles.I planned the whole tour in advance, but in practice two routes that are shown on the map turned out to be nonexistent.I was lucky with the first one, because the beginning of the path could not even be found. The second path turned out to be access to a field after a few meters. Then it was about 1 km in the truest sense of the word "cross-country". It's a real shame and certainly annoys the landowner. The third problem was caused by the weather in the last few weeks or years, forests had been cut down and paths I knew just about disappeared. On my tour it will be labeled as "Off Grid", which is a good thing, because here nature has to relax first ...

On the spur of the moment ...... Round from the hiking car park on the Ehrenberg to the game reserve. The fallow deer and mouflons have a very beautiful and huge area with forest and bushes, so you don't always see them. But today we were lucky, many had gathered at the fence and also their offspring with them 🤩On part of the tour you can clearly hear the nearby motorway, the very beautiful forest distracts you.Note: the many zigzag lines at the rest area are probably thanks to the GPS, we just sat there quietly.

Wonderful tour through mostly still intact mixed forest, almost no asphalt, exactly mine. :)Right at the beginning we chose an inviting path, which ended pretty quickly, but that just happens sometimes. But then we found another way around a field.Great paths lead through the forest to the Neye. A mostly wide hiking trail around the dam. Many benches, some with a great view of the water, invite you.We didn't immediately find a short section of the path at the end of the tour, which was marked on the map. Was covered with leaves. There is a parking lot at our starting point only outside the swimming season. In warm weather, everything around the Bever is fully parked. Then you have to look for another starting point.

I am often out and about here, if only because I live nearby. And that's lucky, because it's just very beautiful here.New combinations of paths are always being tried out and sometimes I discover tiny unknown paths that are not on the map.

The small tour begins at the hiking car park on Beyenburger Straße (Schwelm). After a few hundred meters I was attracted to a small trail. Not on the menu - so I figured it was just right for me.Admittedly, you have to "feel" the way in some places. But in the end you come to a forgotten path. Probably forgotten because it's a dead end. However, you can continue on this path in the direction of Wupper.Up the Brambecke, it continues through the Brambeck valley and finally uphill, with beautiful views, and back to the parking lot.A small but interesting route that can be easily expanded. For example in the direction of Beyenburg ...

I could write a lot about this tour again ...... I'll just say, we live here in a beautiful area, whether in the direction of Wuppertal, Ruhr, Hagen or Bergisches Land - just great. It's really a shame about the many felled trees here and everywhere - on the other hand, it opens up panoramas that you could otherwise only guess.I wish everyone who appreciates this area many more unique tours.

The hike begins at the hiking car park opposite the Platsch swimming pool in Ennepetal. It is almost entirely via nature trails. First to the Bilstein lookout point. From there through the Bilstein nature reserve over winding paths to the Bergbauweg. (A part is not yet on the Komoot cards)However, there are a few ascents and descents to master up to the Bergbauweg. The small attractions on the mining trail invite you to browse. Here you can find not only the old entrances to the tunnels, but also fragments of the buildings used to process the ore. Then it's worth making a loop all the way up to the heights of the Ennepetal, between the Ennepe and the Hasper Tal. From there you go downhill back to Ennepe. On the way back you get to the beginning of the steep ascent to the Bilstein. If you walk a short distance, you can see the rock carvings. All in all a great tour that I can only recommend - if you like going up and downhill;)By the way, you can find the route profile at the end of the photo series.

Very nice hike over little asphalt, along streams and over the heights with a lot of views. Many thanks to Katja and Carmen. Your hike "Dream route from Heilenbeckertal to Königsfeld with lots of water fun for 🐕 and panoramic views for 👭" inspired me.The start is at the hiking car park on Wittensteiner Weg in Ennepetal. From there it's first down the road to the other side of the valley. The following forest path leads past two small forest ponds on the heights towards Königsfeld. Through the beautiful mixed forest it goes partly over narrow paths over the heights and then back into the valley. After crossing the Heilenbeck brook again, there is a somewhat longer ascent on a beautiful, narrow footpath to the high-lying path along the valley. The uphill path is rewarded with wonderful views over the valley. There are some narrow, natural paths on the route. You should wear good walking shoes.

A cozy little round of chapels near Lichtscheid in Wuppertal. There are many small natural trails in this area. When you come out of the beautiful, natural mixed forest, you often look over beautiful valleys with meadows and pastures. The small round is very close to the Gelpe valley and the Ronsdorf dam. If you feel like it, you can easily extend the tour, the whole area is very beautiful.
