A sweet apartment with lots of half-timbered houses and tastefully designed outdoor facilities 🥰

Bellinghausen is a district of Burscheid that is definitely worth seeing. Typical Bergisch half-timbered houses form an idyllic village. With a bit of luck, you will also see one or the other well-maintained historic car parked there.

Bellinghausen is originally an old "workers' settlement" of the Pott weaving mill. Over the years, almost all of the original half-timbered houses have been sold to private individuals (apart from farmer Piel with Highland cattle and farmstead Peters with a handful of dairy cows 😍). Architect Dietmar Schneider has realized himself wonderfully with many beautiful new buildings and conversions. Some of the old buildings were demolished + rebuilt, some (also by the buyers) renovated and/or converted. Anyone who hikes/cycles through Bellinghausen today almost feels transported into a fairy tale... It's just a pity that there are so many parked cars in the village, because somehow every family in the small area has at least 2 vehicles... BUT: Definitely worth a trip/visit 🙃💯👌
