In an idyllic valley at the northern end of the Straussees lies the children's farm Roter Hof. In his petting zoo live donkeys, sheep, pigs, goats, guinea pigs, chickens and many other animals. The farm is also suitable for a trip with the Kitagruppe or a school class with its diverse offers. In summer you can even stay in tipis or own tents. For the physical well-being of the visitors is provided in the Hofcafé.

From April to the end of October, the Rote Hof is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm. In winter it opens from 10 to 16 o'clock.

Easy to reach, as the S-Bahn is not far away. Still very quiet and there is a lot to see, especially for children.

The "Roter Hof" children's farm with a petting zoo and a well-designed children's playground is only 10 minutes away from the Strausberg Nord S-Bahn station. The farm is gladly accepted by school classes and kindergartens for project and hiking days. In the warm months there is a holiday camp with "tents by indigenous peoples" (in earlier times one would have said an Indian tent). There is also a courtyard cafe, the nature trail and a natural history cabinet.
