Pure idyll at a height of more than 400 m: a lovely place to rest and a great view over the muddy Mosisbruch wetlands. Here you can marvel at the beautiful cotton grass in spring (does NOT grow in the lowlands.)

At the western end of the high moor, 450 m high, stood a forest yard with two houses. The break is a raised bog. It is supplied by a two kilometer long stream that flows into the Wellbach. The stone refers to the former Mosisbruch farm. The soil conditions for agriculture and animal husbandry did not give much, so that the residents of the farm could not feed on it.

The Mosisbruch is one of the last raised bogs in the Palatinate Forest.
There is also a knight's stone of the same name, which commemorates a former forest farm (settlement). This stands on the edge of the swampy high moor. A nice picnic area invites us to a comfortable rest.
From Hofstätten, there is a shorter all-round hiking trail called Mosisbruch-Weg. It's definitely interesting and easy to run.
