This is one of the more than 300 knight stones of the Palatinate Forest Association. It points to the Mosisbruch (located over 400 m high) with its boggy wet meadow area and the ruins of a former forest farm with 2 houses.
From 1840 to 1863, a forest farm was built here by the forestry administration, but ultimately it did not find favorable conditions for agriculture and livestock breeding and thus had to be abandoned.

Hiking

In earlier times there was a wind farm with two houses here. The valley is surrounded by wet meadows and a spring. The watercourse flows through a valley into the Wellbach. The damp soil did not bring good yields for agriculture and livestock and so the farm was ultimately abandoned. The knight's stone is maintained and kept in order by the PWV.

Hiking

One of the last raised bogs is in the Mosisbruch. There are also benches and tables here and the view of the moor is beautiful. There used to be a farm here with land valuation and animal husbandry, but the land was very barren and did not bring any profit. The farm was then given up and demolished. The knight's stone is maintained and maintained by the PWV.
