Plague columns usually represent the Holy Trinity, the Mother of God or other plague saints such as St. Rosalia, Sebastian or Rochus. There are also so-called plague crosses. Plague columns were also popularly called "Holy Columns".

Hiking

The Renaissance palace was rebuilt in the Baroque style before 1707. Here G. Casanova (yes! THE Casanova!) Worked as a librarian for 13 years and published most of his works from here. - The castle church is from 1722, the plague column from 1749-60.
