At the top of Moor Lane where the road turns sharply left, look out for the quarry lane off to the right. Immediately after turning, take the bridleway on your left (first of the two sets of gates). This starts as a green field but soon you get to a gate. From here, it's a great descent all the way to Coombs Dale (with one annoying gate in the way).

Good fun after a long long climb from Great Longstone, I rode in February and the first part of the descent was quite muddy, not deep mud but more of a slippy coating on the surface.

Mostly a smooth grassy track along the edge of a field with a couple of gates, great as a descent and not to challenging as a climb
