Long climb (for the peaks) if going up but eases after the cattle grid and all the better for appreciating the views over the edge. One of my favourites whether starting or finishing a ride.

With good weather there are not many better climbs in The Peak. Amazing panoramic views with little traffic on the road. The climb is steepest at the bottom when you leave Great Longstone but once past the cattle grid it eases allowing you to lift your head up and take in the views.
