Swimming in the Stößensee is prohibited for safety reasons. Most of the lake shore is used for water sports. At the southern end of the Pichelswerder shore there is a bathing area with a sandy beach, but this is within an official dog run area.

The Stößensee Bridge is a steel truss bridge. It was built between 1908 and 1909. It goes back to plans by the civil engineer Karl Bernhard. It was part of the overall Döberitzer Heerstraße project. The bridge is listed.
