Hiking Highlight
Many paths lead to the Drachenberg: moderate asphalt paths from the Teufelsseeschaussee or steep sand paths from the direction of the Teufelsberg. From the Drachenberg you can enjoy a wonderful view of West Berlin and the ruins on the Teufelsberg.

From the Drachenberg you can not only look at Berlin, but also at the listening station and the beautiful green Grunewald.

A very drafty spot but with a perfect view over Berlin and the Grunewald. For all those who do not want to pay admission to the Teufelsberg for the view.

The Drachenberg, also called Drachenfliegerberg or Kleiner Teufelsberg, is a 99 m above sea level. NHN high elevation in the district Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf in Berlin. It is located in the district Grunewald, south of the army road and about 700 m northeast of the Teufelsberg.

The absolutely best vantage point over Berlin is not from the Teufelsberg, because it is quite overgrown, but from the Drachenberg, named after Berlin's fondness for flying kites there.

The little brother of Teufelsberg. Not wooded and with beautiful views of the city and the ruins of Allied Field Station ...

Nice here, lots of nature to escape the city, but in good weather also a lot of people here, similar to a park.

New Year's Eve is often celebrated here; then no kites will fly, but balloons with wishes written on them for wellbeing in the New Year.

This is the view from the Drachenberg. You don't have such a good view from Teufelsberg.

No one has mentioned that the Drachenberg is one of the best places in Berlin for watching the sunset. Get there in the late afternoon when the sky is relatively cloudless and watch how the setting sun bathes the whole hill in red and orange. The atmosphere at this time of day is quite special.

In Berlin every little hill is a mountain ;-) When the weather is clear you have a great view. The listening station on the Teufelsberg is reminiscent of the Cold War, when "radio reconnaissance" was carried out from here to the borders of the Soviet Union.

Very nice panoramic view of the city of Berlin. And you can really fly kites there.
January 12, 2020
One of the most beautiful views of the Grunewald, the city with the radio tower, Olympic Stadium, and Teufelsberg with listening station. The view is much better than from the Teufelsberg.

Brilliantly beautiful overview of the city of Berlin, on the one hand the peace and on the other hand the hustle and bustle of a vibrant metropolis

At the Teufelsberg, the Allies listened to what the enemy planned in the Eastern Bloc.

Really great view over Berlin. There you can spend your time and enjoy the silence. Overcrowded at the weekend, but always great
Sunrise and sun set the hammer.

The Drachenberg is located in Berlin's Grunewald. The little neighbor of the better-known Teufelsberg is a great vantage point and a popular destination.
Just like its well-known neighbor, the Drachenberg is a mound of debris from World War II. The 99 meter high peak got its name from the many Berliners who come here at the weekend to fly kites. The Drachenberg is much better suited for this than the Teufelsberg, because it is very green, but there are no large trees on the plateau. Which also makes the mountain a better viewing platform than Teufelsberg. After climbing the 280 steps, starting from the parking lot on Teufelsseechaussee, the view can sweep far over the Grunewald and the listening station from the Cold War on the neighboring mountain is also clearly visible. On the other side, the radio tower, the Olympic stadium and the television tower stand out on the skyline. The Drachenberg is also popular with paragliders, who dare to jump from the plateau over the tops of the Grunewald. When the sun goes down in summer, things get romantic on the Drachenberg: the sunset bathes Berlin in the most beautiful light. Even if the evening atmosphere is not exclusive - it is always beautiful.berlin.de/machen/5681116-3558930-drachenberg.html
