The last 3 km of the Spree are quite unspectacular after almost 400 km. It goes along thermal power plants, the waste incineration plant, the sewage treatment plant, tank farms and old brownfield sites from the last century. The estuary into the Havel is beautifully developed with benches and a children's playground.
