The giant oak in the Sauerbusch in the Dresden Heath near Langebrück is a designated natural monument (ND 72).
The pedunculate oak is about 22 meters high, the chest circumference at a height of 1.30 meters is about 6.60 meters (measurement 2016). The main trunk of the tree broke off at a height of about 15 meters, the crown is formed by individual branches. The giant oak is estimated to be up to 700 years old, making it one of the oldest trees on the Dresden Heath.
