In the 1930s, the small Heideteich was created by damming the Haarweidebach near Ullersdorf. In 2009, a shelter with tables and benches was set up on the banks of the popular tourist destination. The reservoir can be reached via several hiking trails.

If you think of a huge reservoir when you hear the name “Haarweidenstausee”, you will be disappointed. In fact, it is more of a small pond (which is just dammed, therefore a reservoir), but which is very nicely located between the trees in the Dresden Heath.
