Dent Head Viaduct is an impressive 10-arch bridge that is 100 feet (30 m) high and 597 feet (182 m) long. The viaduct was built for the Midland Railway Company between 1869-76 out of Dent Marble. Interestingly, it crosses over the quarry that bore the stone.
