    Walk/Run back to station

Hurried back to reach my train time as Leeds gets hectic after 3:00 PM my chest felt like it was pounding and I could feel all the phlegm in my chest, nevertheless a decent enough KM with the clothes I got on, 5:33 I’ll take that!

Feeling really unwell, back is flaring up too, I know my body better than anyone and what I need more than anything is some sun nothing artificial, no medication, just organic food and pure energy, something to consider and perhaps go somewhere for a few days where the sun is prevalent, taking care of your body now trumps all needs and wants please remember that!

Mum went under surgery yesterday, we were allowed to see her and we stayed for as long as we could, the amazing staff here have truly gone above and beyond catering to an extent that I couldn’t have imagined, all four of us came to see mum and the staff have truly been special with everything, and listened to all of the wishes she had made

Set off time: 6:46 AM - 10:47 AM Hike: 19.2 KM BPM 132 Elevation 470 m Weather / humidity 4, 95% Average pace KM 12:20 Fastest KM 8:24 Slowest KM 16:23 Overall time 4:00:00 Calories burned 1900 A great hike, I have had a fever since Saturday evening and today it was still prevalent, after the first 10 KM I didn’t feel too good I think jogging the first KM wasn’t the wisest idea but it warmed me up before the moor so in hindsight it still worked out well, I was surprised that it wasn’t as boggy as it can be around the moors, due to the wind and rain we’ve had the past week, I am blessed to have walked the route entirely solo, there was really not a soul in sight and it was needed, nature my recluse and the landscapes here are always top tier, it’s a delight that my health continues to withstand the challenges I have had, this year has been unforgiving in many senses, yet here I am still tackling a challenge, preparing myself for the long road that lies ahead, it was lovely too see pendle hill in the distance, rylestone cross and many more peaks that I’ve visited even the three peaks glaring in the distance before I made the turn a few KM before the reservoir, I missed the castle at the beginning due to the darkness however on the way back I made the same journey and it was truly amazing and beautiful, serene doesn’t describe it, that’s another hike in the books 📕 I also saw two llamas 🦙 which I really didn’t expect and surpsingly haven’t seen before, nature never disappoints and the bird sounds, the slight haze and the opening of the sky made me feel peaceful im glad to have stepped out this morning 🌅

Set off time: 1:38 - 3:50 PM 21 KM BPM 167 Elevation 400 m Weather / humidity 9, windy 🌬️ ☔️, 79% Average pace KM 6:21 Fastest KM 5:05 Slowest KM 8:00 Overall time 2:09:17 Calories burned 1900 The last one was done in May 27th up on the three peaks since then my health has been touch and go, I was consolidating all day yesterday if it was wise to do one after completing a 15 K the previous month, today was more of the same and I was delayed a few times before I could make my way out, I had a fair few obstacles prior to the run but my determination trumped my fatigue, the run started fairly decent as the wind increased it became harder to run, but I persevered, I had a thought to go to Ogden and run around a lap or two then make the easy way down Thornton road but don’t I love a challenge! I proceeded to take the old route I completed last year with a few hills towards the end which would challenge me and seize up my quads, at the 18 KM the hill was the toughest one out of everything not in terms of tiredness but the steep hill has always been daunting on every single run up it, that K was truly a battle, I barely walked 5 seconds before continuing up my leg seized again and my quads were cramping, I couldn’t stop, I passed the cullingworth sign the wilsden sign and then it was one final challenge to the finish, I glanced at the time and I was making really good progress, the last K was in home turf and I finished all over the place, to reach a time I didn’t think was even possible but there it is my fastest half marathon at 2:09:17 seconds according to Apple Watch achievements, I do know due to it being old the actual time is a few minutes higher but I’ve confirmed that it’s done the best half marathon to date and with the week and a half that I’ve had it’s no small feat, all due to our creator and the will of man
