We parked at the village hall (Point B) and i forgot to switch on Komoot for the first bit, but basically it just goes up the road, towards Point A! The route to Barker (a hamlet/house) is mostly gravelled bridleway and easy going, but the route back is unclear at times, and across muddy/swampy fields after heavy rain. However the views as you ascend the track are lovely, particularly if there has been a dusting of snow on the hilltops. Be aware that there are sheep, cows, a ram and a bull in the fields on the return route (there are no signs to warn you of this, so it's not obvious) so i suggest you are cautious, give the bull a wide berth, and leave your dog at home.

This newly created circular route is now open (August 2024). You follow the main straight track from the tiny car park into the reserve, past the two hides on the right, and when you get to the end you'll see two sets of metal gates.
