The split oak is a memorial tree in the Saxon state capital Dresden.
The tree is in the Great Garden, about 40 meters south of the mosaic fountain. The split oak is a pedunculate oak (Quercus robur) with a height of about 27 meters and a chest height of over 6 meters. The age of the tree was estimated to be around 250 to 300 years in the 2010s. On one side the trunk of the oak shows considerable damage up to a height of about 8 meters.
