Built in 1680, the Palais im Großen Garten, also referred to as summer or garden palace, is a baroque pleasure palace - one of the earliest baroque buildings in the German-speaking world. His appearance is now restored; the reconstruction of the interior of the building is not yet complete. At the moment, it can only be used to a limited extent for exhibitions.
The flower and floristry exhibition "Dresdner Frühling im Palais" has attracted tens of thousands of visitors to the palace since 2006. Gardeners, florists, artists and lighting and sound designers have since then created a total work of art made up of colors, shapes and scents every two years.

a very nice place to linger in and around the palace with plenty of seating options on the edge of the wonderful, landscaped, flowering meadows 👍 an absolute eye-catcher and a "must" for every hike in the Great Garden 😉👍

The historical building service as a central element in the Great Garden, all central axes run towards it. As an ensemble embedded in a landscape of flowers, gardens and ponds, the palace unfolds its visual charms, especially during the warm season.

Magnificent Baroque building centrally located in the middle of the Great Garden right in front of the palace pond. The flowered meadows in front of the building invite you to take pictures and linger.
