The term Königsufer in the broader sense often also stands for the entire Neustädter Elbufer. Opposite him is the terrace on the Elbe side of the old town. The Neustädter Elbufer lies in the Inner Neustadt, parts of it in the government district.

The term Königsufer often stands for the entire Neustädter Elbe bank in a broader sense. The Neustädter Elbufer is the designed Elbe bank zone in Dresden between Rosengarten and Marienbrücke and is located in the Inner Neustadt, parts of it in the government district. It is lined with a number of remarkable buildings and works of art.The extensive lawns on the bank serve as a buffer zone during high water and give the Königsufer a very generous appearance when the water level is normal. A hike there offers wonderful views both of the impressive buildings on the land side (Neustadt) and of the old town on the other side of the Elbe. In many places you can approach the Elbe directly to the water's edge, the ground there consists largely of larger pebbles or earth.More: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neust%C3%A4dter_Elbufer
