The Great Garden in Dresden is a park of Baroque origin. The current largest park in the city was from 1676 on the order of the Elector Johann Georg III. created and repeatedly expanded in the course of its history, so that today it has an approximately rectangular floor plan on an area of approximately 1.8 square kilometers.
