All that's left of the former mill is the mill channel and a few remnants of the walls, which have been covered by moss. However, the location directly on the Schnaitbach stream offers some beautiful views. There's also a seating area nearby.

Hiking

This sawmill, located on the left side of the valley of the Schnaitbach, belonged together with the originally surrounding water meadows and the still well-preserved Hofmühlsteige to a farm in Simmersfeld. The sawmill pit, the mill wheel pit and the Sägemühlenwaag are still clearly recognizable at the mill site. The Sägmühlenbetrieb was probably set before the First World War.
