Bärlochkar Wilderness Trail

The name says it all: A "primeval forest" is to be created here, it is a protected forest. Nicely done, with individual bridges. But the great thing is that you can see how forests work. When dead ferns from the previous year thickly cover fallen trees and a protective zone for all kinds of animals is created underneath. It really looks "primeval".
Until a few years ago, I didn't know the difference between a "forest" (that's what we hikers enjoy so much) and a "forestry" (monoculture tree plantations for a great renewable raw material) - there is forest here!

Very rustic trail with lots of atmosphere, definitely recommended.

Beautiful, natural path over many roots and stones through the jungle of tomorrow. Warning signs indicate that falling branches and fallen trees are to be expected.
