City Park

A green lung in the city center with a rich stock of trees. A fountain has a refreshing effect with its cool draft in hot weather.

There is a lot to discover here. The church with the tower from 1824. In front of it the peace monument with the writings presented as cubes is wonderful. In the southern part war memorials to different wars. In the north the fountain and on the other side of the street the Turnvater Jahn.
Dar Park is located on the site of the first cemetery of Traunstein. The colonnade with the unique Mater column bears witness to this. The Alpine Club, section Traunstein, has its office in the building behind the colonnade.
Beautiful Art Nouveau houses to the east towards the city center.

Nice little park in the middle of the city to linger. Surrounded by cozy cafes and restaurants.
