The Wutachschlucht is a real gem among the natural landscapes in the Black Forest and therefore runs the fourth stage through the wild and romantic river valley. Only at the end of the stage do you leave the gorge and head for your stage destination Blumberg. At the Gasthaus Schattenmühle in the middle of the Wutachschlucht begins your fourth day's stage. On the north bank of the Wutach, the crossroad meanders right through the narrow river valley. Here the crossroads follow the same path as the famous Schluchtensteig.Originally, the two long-distance trails on this stretch ran along the south bank of the Wutach, but a huge landslide made the way 2017 impassable. Therefore, you walk on the official detour along the north shore.Only after the landslide you change the shore side and follow the trail further through the gorge. In several places steep cliffs rise above the water on the shore, where the trail leads directly along - a great nature experience. At the sawmill Wutachmühle worth a short detour to the other shore. Here you will find a small kiosk where you can provide you with drinks and snacks. From this point the Wutachschlucht continues slowly and opens to a peaceful valley landscape. At Achdorf you cross the Wutach and climb steeply in some serpentines to Blumberg, the destination of today's hike.
