Nice house round, which is a bit bumpy at the beginning, but rewarded with a lot of green. After Rüttenscheiderstraße, it was sometimes quite fast in the forest down into the Ruhr valley to the blue Baldeneysee. A short break by the water and then we went on, sometimes on bike paths and small streets. After the piece of the river, the path leads slightly uphill (a bit for the legs) up the route back to Rüttenscheid.

It was sunny and especially beautiful in the first part. The sea of rocks from Hemer is a splendor but the section is relatively short.
A short walk through Deilinghofen, it always goes uphill into the forest.
This is frighteningly bare. Soooooo many spruce corpses. If you haven't noticed the climate change, you can get an idea of it here. Cruel! That continues until the end of the hike.
A nice day of vacation, which also made you think!

A friend has never been to Muttental and that is of course not possible. So we started early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Steinhausen Castle is a highlight as always. The Hardenstein castle ruins are being restored, so unfortunately a stay there is only possible to a limited extent.
The nightingale colliery opens at 11 for a snack on hand.
The forest is taken along a bit, but is still beautiful.
All in all a very nice tour that I did not go on for the first time.

Very nice tour in the south of Essen which was deserted early in the morning when the ice crystals were still to be seen.
Starting in Kupferdreh, it goes quickly to the next forest. The route is characterized by exactly this and beautiful paths or rural structures and many hills.
I think at lunchtime you will have to share some of the routes with bicycles.
Thanks to the route founder🌷
