A very nice and tranquil hike, started with a little incline road leading to sugar loaf hill then passing along attermire scar, horseshoe cave looked fairly interesting so I climbed a little to get a better look if I had my headtorch no doubt there would’ve been some deeper exploring but it was still fun nevertheless, shortly after I strolled up to Victoria and jubilee caves a familiar sight having been on this section once before. I made my way down to the catrigg force once again but this time around I went deeper and got a closer look at the beautiful waterfall. A nice breeze along with the sun was just what was needed, glad I got everything done before the crowds started. The main highlights now over and done with I made my way back down to the village having already taken the stone path I decided a more relaxed view and route looping back to settle station, 3 hikes in settle and all have been truly spectacular, a nice and easy hike to finish of this month. Hike no 5 for April and the total now comes to 85 hikes completed.
