Five-Finger Rock and Devil’s Chair near Halberstadt

Highlight • Natural Monument

From both sandstone rocks you can look at the other, past the Five Finger Rock which is more striking, but the Teufelskanzel has a beautiful view and a small cave.

At my daughter's request to hike 3 days in a row, the first tour took us to Klusfelsen. No rain so let's get going. The three of us walked through this great area and had a wonderful day with great weather🌞🥾🎒

Thanks to komoot users we found this interesting area today. We started from the hotel, had a good breakfast, in Halberstadt and recorded from Halberstadt - Spiegelsberge. The weather held up well for about 80% of the round. Now we are both 🐶🙋‍♀️ dry again and satisfied that we were able to do such a nice lap.

The beautiful weather is luring us into the beautiful nature around Halberstadt today.
We start with the Klusberge Mountains, magnificent stone formations. We continue through beautiful deciduous forest and field paths to the "Glass Monk." If you look closely, you can actually make out a monk's face looking to the left.
We continue on truly stunning forest paths through the …

I particularly liked this hike. Geological highlights, lots of forest, wonderful views and historical places could be found on this hike. The starting point was the stadium in Halberstadt. From here we went to the Klusfelsen, the Fünffinger-Felsen and later to the Teufelskanzel. These geological highlights have been around for several millennia.
From here the hike led through the Klussiedlung …

Today I'm taking you on an autumn hike again 🍁🥾🍄🍂. This time we started south of Halberstadt near Langenstein. We went over the glass monk to the Thekenberge, then right through the Klusfelsen with really great, intense colors today: the yellow rocks in the warm autumn light with an azure blue sky 👍, more is really not possible... and then …

Very nice hike with spring-like temperatures, this morning still gray in gray, the sun came out in the afternoon.

In the shadow of the witches - short route

After my last hike in the Halberstadt mountains two years ago, I visit this favorite place again with my aerobics group. While the last route was 25 km long and still led via Langenstein, here is the short version:
