The old museum building from 1889 is located on Banegårdspladsen in Maribo. The large museum building was built to provide space for the museum, which still provides good exhibition opportunities on all three floors. After its creation more than 100 years earlier, the monastery museum has shown the cultural history of the area with regard to all conceivable periods and topics. The museum has been characterized by a wide range of exhibitions since the museum was founded.
