Habitaculum MariaeThe municipal coat of arms of Maribo shows the St. Birgitta. Maribo means Marienstadt. The new monastery is called like the old monastery: Habitaculum Mariae, Maria lives. The monastery is about 10 minutes on foot from the ruins of the old nunnery and the former monastery church, which is now bishop's church for Lolland and Falster. The monastery is located on the lake of Maribo and invites to long and relaxing walks in nature. In the monastery are welcome all who long for rest and relaxation. Individual guests and small groups are cordially invited to retreats and courses. All are welcome to participate in the fairs and prayer times of the monastery or simply to enjoy the silence in the monastery. The convent offers 19 guest rooms, of which 3 are doubles. All rooms are equipped with a bathroom. Meals: The monastery offers breakfast, full board or half board.
