Magdalene Church is located directly on the village street. The defensive nature of the entire ensemble, with its impressive church tower, moat, defensive wall, and a shed, is best appreciated when entering the churchyard from the west via the "Kirchbrückle" (church bridge). St. Mary Magdalene Church was built in 1520 by the master builders Hans and Valentin Schwarz. Approximately 400 years later, the galleries were added to the nave, and the entire sanctuary, with the exception of the north wall, was rebuilt. The five stained-glass windows in the sanctuary also date from this period; together with the friendly color scheme of the galleries, they give the church a warm ambiance.

Picturesquely set in a meadow-like landscape, the silhouette of Milz, with its church and steeple, stands out against the backdrop of the Gleichberg Mountains. As walkers, hikers, or travelers approach the village, their gaze inevitably falls on the imposing church tower, which, with its gable roof, stands out from most of the surrounding church towers. Within the ensemble of the main church building, chancel, and steeple, they are not only a landmark of Milz, but also lend the village, which is a so-called "round village," its characteristic appearance.

The bridge leads over the moat to the Magdalenenkirche. Church is open for visits.
