The cloister is located on the north façade of the complex and its capitals show the main decorative elements used at the time, floral, geometric and figurative. Arches on double columns predominate, although there are also four-column pillars, which act as theme separators. Among the subjects represented are scenes from the Old and New Testaments.

What is now known as the Collegiate Church of Santa Juliana has its origins in the expansion of the old monastery of the same name, in the middle of the 12th century. It was built by a group of monks to contribute to the repopulation of the area and create a small hermitage in which to display the relics of the martyr Juliana, which they brought with them. At that time the village takes the name of the monastery: "Sancta lulliana", which declined in the current Santillana.

A remarkable and precious monastery from the XII century! Amazing the details of the pillars in the cloister and the retable! Unfortunately it would need a lot of money to rescue and restore this wonderful piece of art and religious place! So you can understand why they ask for 3,- entrance fee.
Very special is also the model with eight scenes of the passion of Christ with lots of details from life in those times Jerusalem.
        Every penny worth seeing it!
