The Catholic Church of San Martin de Tours in the municipality of Alfoz de Lloredo was built in the baroque style in the mid-18th century.

Juan Antonio de Tagle-Bracho, who was born in this city of Cigsenza and went to Peru, gave the order in 1743 to carry out the construction of this church. Tagle-Bracho was Prior of the Consulate in Lima. He was made Knight of Calatrava and was the first Count of the Tagle House of Trasierra. He sent money from Peru to build a large church in his hometown. The construction is the work of master stonemason Francisco Rubén de Colombres.

Beautiful hike on the Camino del Norte. The paths are each marked with yellow arrows or on the ground with the typical Camino shell. There are various hostels for pilgrims or possibly hotels. I chose Hotel. Overnight in Comillas at Hotel Solatorre. Hotel recommended, right on the Way of St. James. Comillas is a very nice town with everything you need.
