St. John's Church (Rīgas Svētā Jāņa baznīca) in Riga's Old Town is a striking example of medieval architecture with a deep history. Originally built in the 13th century as part of a Dominican monastery, the church underwent numerous extensions and restorations over the centuries. The Gothic brick walls and ornate vaults still remind us of the times when the Dominican monks were based here.
