The well maintained by the PWV Ritterstein should remember the government director Cramer, who was the care of the Palatinate Forest at heart. In his honor, this really beautiful path was called Cramer Path. At the beginning and at the end of this path there is a Ritterstein Cramer path.

"The Cramer Trail was named after Mr. Heinrich Cramer (1866-1927). Since there were difficult sections of the trail between Madenburg and Trifels, the then forestry assessor commissioned the construction of a hiking trail to make both hiking destinations easier to reach. Because of his outstanding contributions to the Palatinate Forest, the trail was named after him."
