  • The Hausen 1 and Hausen 2 tunnels are now part of the long-distance cycle path through the Voreifel. It's fun to drive through or to hike through. Great echo effects inside.

  • The icy cold wind blew through the tunnel. Since it is illuminated, it is a real experience to walk through it, especially since it saves a lot of meters in altitude.

  • In 1902/04, the Mayen railway ran through the 252.95 meter long Hausen 2 tunnel via Polch-Ost to Koblenz-Lützel.
The line was closed in 1983.
The Hausen 2 tunnel is followed shortly afterwards by the Hausen 1 tunnel with a length of 499.35 metres.
