Chakka 💪🏼 Completed all 8 stages of the Malerweg 🎉
More tomorrow ..... 😴I was in Gohrisch early to park my car at the destination, but at the wrong bus stop. I found her in time, but the bus was apparently already gone. I waited another 10 minutes, so thumbs out and zack, the first car stopped and I got my connecting train in Bad Schandau. In Schmilka I took shelter at the train station because of light rain and had breakfast first, as always. Then I discovered a fire salamander and then I noticed that it was trying to get up below the rail, could not find a footing and kept walking. Fear of death, I rescued him from the track bed. A good deed every day 😇
In Schöna I was surprised by the many brightly painted houses, which were a relief for the eyes in the cloudy weather. I had not yet photographed all sides of my favorite house when the young owner stepped out of the house. He was visibly touched by my enthusiasm and told me that he had not yet received such good feedback on his paintwork, neither from the other locals nor from hikers passing by. But meanwhile other villagers would also use the paint pot.I have to say that I always got into good conversation with the natives and with many wanderers, everyone was very nice and open-minded.When I got around the corner at the Papststein, I saw a camera placed on a rock and heard lively voices. A troop of about 15 people who had sat down below a rock for the photo shoot. Since they were in such a good mood, I came prancing and faxing into their field of vision. Big laughter, "and please keep it up, again in front of the camera!" We had a lot of fun. And that's how the photo of me on the rock was created.
Now further on to the rock plateau from the Papststein with, unfortunately, limited all-round view due to drizzle and then it only goes downhill
Direction Gohrisch. Ha, think, but still up to the Gohrisch and now the view was completely gone.
Not so bad, I saw a lot of sandstone mountains, I had a lot of fun discovering this area and I'm a little proud of myself that I mastered the 8 stages as a circular hiker.
The journey is now over. Off to new goals.
