The Wildenburg is a very well-kept old castle complex with a beautiful church and old half-timbered houses.

The Wildenburg is romantically situated on a steep, narrow mountain ridge. The castle, which was rebuilt by the abbots from Steinfeld in the 18th century using medieval remains, was mentioned as early as 1190, was owned by the Lords of Palandt from 1414 - 1639 and was bought by the Steinfeld monastery in the 18th century. Part of this building serves as a church; The keep and dungeon are still there. At the entrance to the bailey there is still a porter's house from the 16th century.
The Wildenburg premises are now privately owned, but can be rented for celebrations.

In the very well-kept restaurant with an open fireplace and sun terrace you can dine well. Very good game dishes and local German cuisine.
