The Protestant church was built at the beginning of the 17th century with the inclusion of older parts, in 1693 the choir was changed and the tower was built. In 1796 redesigns were made, in 1834 a restoration took place. In 1945 the church was destroyed except for the surrounding walls. The reconstruction took place from 1947 to 1951, initially with a tent roof as a tower end; in 2009 the original closure was restored.

The church is a simple, plastered structure with a straight choir closure, which has been expanded with various additions. On the north side is the two-storey extension with a curved gable divided by several cornices. The massive square west tower with an octagonal bell storey had been covered with a flat tent roof since its destruction and was restored in its original form with a hood and lantern in 2009. The interior is finished with a plastered flat ceiling, which is divided by wooden beams. Single-storey, unmounted wooden galleries are built in on three sides. A wide triumphal arch communicates with the choir with a simple groin vault. A box is built in on the north side, including a round-arched door with a Renaissance profile. The original second choir bay was separated during the reconstruction and set up as a winter church with a flat wooden beam ceiling

The church is in the middle of the original town center and is surrounded by a churchyard that used to be a cemetery. In the rather simple church and in the surrounding churchyard there are still many witnesses of times long past to discover. A beautiful state of renovation and, since 2009, a tower again crowned with a hood round off the experience.
