The oldest parts of the stately stone church in Düpow date from the middle of the 13th century. Parts of the roof beams are dendrochronologically dated to 1247. Thus, the Düpower Church is one of the oldest in Prignitz. The west tower was remodeled at the beginning of the 16th century. The nave roof was renewed flatter than before in the 18th century.

The Vera Ikon - the true image of Christ - on the north side of the Düpower church tower is a special feature of church sculpture, especially on an exterior. It is worked as a semi-plastic terracotta panel, which is covered with a green glaze in the area of the nimbus and in the border.
